When was this announced?
#LBD5Year was originally announced by Bernie Su at NerdCon: Nerdfighteria during his panel “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries: A Deep Dive Analysis of This Innovative Pride and Prejudice Adaptation.” A huge thank you to everyone that attended Bernie’s panels as well as the LBD meetup, and thank you to the fabulous staff and volunteers at NerdCon.
Why Facebook?
The Lizzie Bennet Diaries is a transmedia story, with many components spread out across different platforms and then spread out even more across different accounts on those platforms. It is a lot to follow along with, let alone go through after the fact.
In celebrating the 5 year anniversary, fans who missed the original run now have the opportunity to experience the show live with the transmedia elements. So by having it all unfold in one place (Facebook) we hope to make things easier for new viewers.
